Village gateways…what do you think?
Thank you to everyone who has already contacted the Parish Council with comments about the proposed village gateways. It is not, however, too late to let us know your thoughts.
The Parish Council is considering the installation of Village Gateways on the B5392 (Farm Lane / Salters Lane). The main purpose of a gateway is to indicate visually to drivers that they are entering a residential area and draws extra attention to the speed limit.
The proposed gateway would display the village name, speed limit and possibly incorporate road markings to create a visual impact when drivers enter the village. Cheshire Police would obviously be consulted and would have the final decision on any proposal.
This image shows one example but the design could be changed if residents wish to proceed with the gateways but don’t like this style.
If you have any views on the suggested village gateways please come along to the Parish Council meeting on Monday 29th July, 2024 (7:30pm at the Parish Hall) and have your say.
