Update from Airband (May 2023)
Founded in 2009, Airband is an independent internet service provider (ISP) bringing high speed broadband to homes, business and industry in rural and hard-to-reach areas. We are proud to work with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), BDUK, local authorities and communities to build high availability infrastructure that residents, business and other ISPs can access to help overcome the UK’s digital divide.
Airband has been selected by the Digital Cheshire project, which is represented by Cheshire East, Cheshire West & Chester, Halton Borough Councils to roll out ultrafast FTTP (Fibre-to-the-premises) broadband to transform connectivity in your area.
We are aiming to start work in June, we are currently at the pole notice stage which means we are putting up notices within the area to advise resident of the poles in the area. Once this 28 day notice has passed we will begin working and putting poles up where needed. We aim to be completed in late Autumn/Early winter.
If you have any questions about the work that Airband is carrying out please forward them to the Clerk (clerk@lowerwithington-pc.gov.uk).
